The promotional cover for the DVD Chemical Imbalance
This group of four accomplished rock musicians produce powerful melodic and thought-provoking music. Knowing the genre so well, we often go the extra yard to add some spice to the mix.
Over the years, we have designed numerous product sleeves, magazine adverts, posters and fliers, stage banners, backstage laminates, invites and even designs for clothing and merchandise; in fact, just about anything a band could need designing, we've done it.
The Heathenology DVD
Our latest design work for BoP is Heathenology, a triple-disk anthology of Balance of Power. The package contains three disks (a DVD and two CDs) and a lavish 24-page booklet charting the bands studio work over the years as well as some live images to boot. We also designed the web site to match, made it accessible and using Flash, we gave the scene some atmosphere.
Heathen Machine
In 2003, Balance of Power recorded Heathen Machine. The album had a much darker and more sinister feel to earlier recordings and we fed off that when designing for it. The design differed from the previous scenic designs of old due largely to the measured but undeniable aggressiveness in the album. They won a lot of new fans with this recording.
Ten More Takes of Grand Illusion
Our first design for Balance of Power was for Ten More Takes of Grand Illusion. The cover photo of the Temple of Warriors in Chichén Itzá was heavily edited. We brushed out the centred statue and cut into the rock the Balance of Power icon. It took some time but it was worth it.
